We are currently seeking a Cost Accountant for a direct hire opportunity for our client located in Garden Grove. This position will be working onsite. Strong manufacturing industry experience is required.

Pay up to $95,000

Responsibilities for the Cost Accountant:

Will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data about operational costs, including labor, material, and production costs.
Responsible for developing and analyzing cost standards and coordinating inventory related activities with management, including analysis, reporting, cycle count, and inventory adjustments.
Will carry out cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis.
Responsible for establishing costs of business processes such as administration, labor, shipping, etc.
Responsible for account reconciliations
Responsible for preparing audit reports and presenting their findings to management.
Responsible for managing the company’s balance sheet and accounting books.
Assist with supporting other company accountants with invoicing and capital expenditures

Requirements for the Cost Accountant

BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
3-5+ years of experience in cost accountant roles, manufacturing preferred.
Strong knowledge and experience in manufacturing industry
Strong understanding of inventory processes
Intermediate Excel skills (vlookup/pivot tables)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
