Billing & Collections Manager (Must have consumer collections experience)

Location: Irvine, CA (100% on-site)

Compensation: $110,000–$130,000 base + monthly bonus

 

We are hiring a hands-on Billing & Collections Manager to lead a high-volume consumer collections operation within the financial services space. This role is ideal for a strong people leader with deep consumer collections experience and a background in fast-paced, agency-style environments.

 

Responsibilities Include:

• Lead day-to-day billing and consumer collections operations
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of collections agents
• Drive recovery of past-due accounts and reduce early-stage defaults
• Set and track daily and weekly goals, KPIs, and scorecards
• Oversee payment plans, escalations, and complex account resolutions
• Monitor performance metrics including dollars collected and collection rates
• Ensure compliance, documentation, and call quality standards
• Partner with Sales, Client Success, and Operations teams
• Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for leadership
• Improve CRM, billing, and reporting processes

 

Requirements Include:

• 5+ years of consumer collections experience in financial services (auto loans, credit cards)
• 3+ years of management or supervisory experience
• Background in high-volume, call center, or collections agency environments
• Strong leadership, coaching, and performance management skills
• Experience working with dialer systems and collections technology
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred
