Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant:

  • Will be responsible for the full cycle GL accounting process

  • Responsible for the month-end close process

  • Monthly journal entries, accruals, flux analysis and reconciliations

  • Handle lease accounting and joint-venture accounting

  • Responsible for the monthly financial reporting 

  • Assist with the audits

Requirements for the Senior Accountant:

  • 8+ years of full cycle GL accounting experience

  • BS/BS in Accounting or Finance

  • CPA is highly preferred

  • Mix of public/private industry experience

  • Strong GAAP experience

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Job Title: GL Accountant  Direct Hire – On-site up to 85k 

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable GL Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for various accounting tasks and ensuring the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive attitude in resolving financial variances. As a vital member of the team, the Staff Accountant will contribute to the overall success and efficiency of our financial operations. Compliance and Internal Controls: Adhere to internal control policies and assist in improving financial processes and procedures to ensure compliance. 


 General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions.

  • Reconcile accounts receivable cash
  • Reconcile revenues/gratuities reporting
  • Bank Reconciliations: Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to match the company’s records with bank statements.
  • Fixed Asset Management: Maintain fixed asset records, track capital expenditures, track to Deprecation schedules.
  • Local- State Tax Compliance: Sales Tax return preparation, Business License filings ( this is as a 2nd chair/back up when Controller is on vacation or out sick.)
  • Month-end and Year-end Close: Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes and schedules, per Company procedures .
  • Reconciliation of Intercompany Transactions: Review and reconcile intercompany accounts with subsidiary companies.
  • Prepaid Schedules-Updated monthly- ensure schedule tie to G/L
  • Reconciliation of Payroll quarters – Payroll Tax Liabilities to G/L
  • Worker Comp calculations for monthly reporting.

When assigned:

  • Expense Analysis: Monitor and analyze expenses, identifying areas for cost-saving opportunities, and assisting in budget preparation.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven work experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, GAAP, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Data Entry and Accuracy: Input financial data into the accounting system accurately and in a timely manner.
