Join our dynamic team as an Accounting Clerk at a leading service company with over 8000 employees. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for career growth, with the flexibility of four days on-site and one day working from home each week.

Direct Hire – Pay is up to $30.00 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle accounts payable tasks efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Provide assistance with accounts receivable functions to support smooth financial operations.
  • Contribute to reporting activities, assisting in the preparation of financial reports and analysis.
  • Engage in ad hoc projects to address evolving business needs and challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with the Accounting Manager and team to ensure alignment and effectiveness in achieving departmental goals.

 

Requirements:

  • Preferred AA or BA in Accounting or related field.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as QuickBooks, MS Dynamics, or similar software.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong Excel skills are advantageous for data analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Demonstrated reliability and eagerness to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well within a team and contribute positively to the department’s objectives.
  • Commitment to maintaining a dependable and efficient accounting department.

Job Summary:
As an AP/AR Specialist, you will handle both accounts payable and accounts receivable duties, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily processing of transactions to ensure that finances are maintained in an effective, up-to-date, and accurate manner.
  • Receive and verify invoices for goods and services.
  • Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
  • Prepare, verify, and process invoices and coding payment documents.
  • Perform data entry associated with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Manage the weekly check run.
  • Prepare vendor checks for mailing.
  • Manage customer billing and collections.
  • Keep track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
  • Maintain historical records by filing documents.
  • Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.

Key Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in AP/AR; entry-level candidates with relevant education or training are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficient with QuickBooks and MS Office.
  • Strong understanding of the general ledger and financial chart of accounts.
  • Ability to perform file management and spreadsheet analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in Spanish is preferred but not required.
