Exciting Temp to Hire Accounts Payable Position – Lynwood, CA

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable Duties:

• Oversee the receipt, coding, and processing of all incoming vendor invoices.
• Manage the timing of check runs, ACH transfers, and wire payments to optimize cash flow and ensure vendors are paid on time.
• Ensure all payments are authorized, supported by documentation (the “three-way match”), and free of duplicates.
• Regularly review open Purchase Order receipts, resolving any discrepancies and outdated items.
• Set up new vendors in the accounting system, ensuring all required documentation is received and accurately retained.
• Address vendor inquiries and disputes, escalating issues to the Accounting Manager when necessary.
• Provide critical data for cash flow forecasting.
• Lead the implementation for the company & new Expense Reimbursement process, ensuring full compliance with company policies.

General Accounting Support: Month-end, Post journal entries, accurals.

Desired Qualifications:

• Previous experience in accounts payable and general accounting functions.
• Strong understanding of the “three-way match” process.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLookups, Pivot Tables).
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills to resolve vendor inquiries and disputes.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Quick to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
