- JOB DESCRIPTION:1. Primary function will be supporting the Learning Lounge (training) 2. Teach Mattel personnel software skills in 2D and 3D design tools employed at Mattel ES. Maintain a presence at Mattels Learning Lounge for walk-up help. Use personal knowledge to develop individualized training regimine based on students needs. (30 %) 3. Develop class materials, online tutorials, and other training related information and coordinate with other mentors that will create and instruct training materials. Use exceptional writing skills combined with software knowledge to generate Mattel-wide accessible tutorials and examples. (30 %)4. Maintain and enhance the Learning Lounge website as well as interact with the Social Networking tools within Mattel (Innoportal and X-factor) Keep the training calendar up to date, and ensure that tutorial and other information is maintained and updated. 5. Work with IT & the innovation staff to provide a test-bed area for evaluating global technology discussions via web-conferencing tools and site to site training methods via adobe connect. Evaluate new software and hardware options and provide UAT support to IT. Setting up a test plan, and quantify results for further development. This position will help with evaluating and implementing global training options such as recorded sessions, web-based tutorials, and live web meetings to connect students and trainers across the various Mattel Campuses. (10%)6. Support Digital Development Team during peak development production periods by taking on project work. During peak periods (e.g. Toy Fair) utilize technical skills to interpret design input and process into 3D digital models. It will be necessary to have an understanding of production design, engineering, molding and part assembly. (10%)REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:3-5 years of experience in the following: Previous instructor experience training in 2D or 3D software. Strong knowledge of design software. (Alias, Maya, Freeform, ZBrush, Geomagic) Strong knowledge of CAD software. (Pro/Engineer or Solidworks) Strong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator Experience in injection molded plastic part design. Experience in modeling for Rapid Prototyping. Ability to create aesthetically acceptable models. Experience in mechanical design. Outgoing personality that is willing to mentor as well as promote learning initiatives. Ability to coordinate presentations on related software. Public speaker Strong problem solving skills Project management skillsBA/BS 4 year College/University degree preferred
